maritime simulation

Maritime Simulation is a powerful tool to achieve bridge procedure knowledge and - adherence to standard operating procedures, deep understanding of the human factor in safety relevant operations and the capability to respond effectively to non-routine situations and emergencies. Shiphandling under various conditions such as restricted maneuvring space and unfavourable weather conditons like wind drift and current set can perfectly be trained and fine tuned in shiphandling simulators. Port risk studies conducted on maritime simulators are used to establish the safe operational envelop for different classes of ships in defined ports and do provide valuable risk management input for itinerary planners and ship operators.
